CINOPS was founded in 1985 by Dr. Elias N. Mattar, Ph.D., Social Sciences; and it was primarily in place for student orientation and vocational guidance.
The first of its kind at that time in Lebanon, CINOPS was unanimously hailed by many newspapers, magazines, radio and television journalists as an organization of tremendous courage, creativity and unshakable faith in war torn Lebanon.
CINOPS’ name stands for the French “Centre d’INformation et d’Orientation Professionnelles et Scolaires”. This name was coined after the word “synopsis” and the adjective “synoptic”, which implies the idea of comparative and synthetic approach to different texts.
In 1993, 2 years after the end of the war in Lebanon, many businesses tasked Dr. Mattar in helping them recruit fresh talent to their companies, knowing that as orientation counselor and university professor, he was in permanent contact with university students and graduates.
Today, CINOPS Human Resources Services is proud to include hundreds of employers and thousands of applicants in its database, most of whom remained loyal friends. The relationships that CINOPS has garnered, including both organizations and individual job seekers, over the course of 15 years, have maintained very active and continue to innovative.
